Many of our concerts have been welcomed as fund raisers for a wide variety of charities and we have been delighted to support the work of:-
RNLI Students Partnership Worldwide Marie Curie Cancer Care Macmillan Nurses Breast Cancer Research Sightsavers Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs for their specific projects and many others through local churches and private fund raising events. The choir is pleased to provide after-dinner entertainment for societies, anniversary parties and is in much demand at Christmas, to provide festive cheer for functions and in residential homes. We have also enjoyed singing in such prestigious venues as Fountains Abbey, Temple Newsam and the Leeds City Art Gallery. In 2008 we were invited to take part in the Nidderdale Festival, with a concert on the opening weekend. In addition to the eclectic range of choral music, our programmes frequently include readings, both serious and light-hearted, and specially invited instrumentalists have provided solo items on several occasions. |
